More Awards!
Well, I’m truly blessed. I’ve been nominated by Dribblingpensioner for some lovely awards. For those who’ve never been to his blog, he offers a nice variety of subjects and I always get a good laugh. Jeandayfriday nominated me for the Good Apple Award. (Oh, and she tagged me, so I guess I’m IT?) Her blog is also one I enjoy visiting. I like her re-telling of events and her humorous take on things. Thanks again to these two wonderful bloggers!!!!!
As usual, if you’re on my blogroll and would like to receive and or participate in any of these awards, then consider yourself awarded. You’re all worthy in my eyes. By now you know I’m too lazy to go to all the effort to tag people and link them to my post. I will say, that if you choose to participate, I think you’ll enjoy answering my questions. (even if that’s all you do!)
So without further ado, I will answer the eleven questions from Jeandayfriday’s game of tag.
- The rules have to be posted
- Answer the questions the tagger posted for you
- Create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged
- Tag eleven people with a link to your post
- Give them a heads up that you tagged them
1. If you could be any literary character for a day, who would you choose and why?
For one day I’d sign up to be Alice, of “Alice and Wonderland.” It might be sort of trippy?
2. If time travel was possible, where would you visit?
I’d go forward by 25 to 30 years so that I could meet my grandchildren and get to know them as adults.
3. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Really bad drivers.
4. Do you have a nickname now or from childhood? How did you get it?
“Beautiful.” I gave it to myself. (I’m kidding, it’s “Hottie.”)
5. What is your favorite book of all time?
I have too many. Here are some favorites; In the Heart of the Sea, House of Sand and Fog, Fall on Your Knees, East of Eden, A Fine Balance.
6. If you had the power, what is one change you would make in this world?
I love animals so, there would be no more animal cruelty. No more experiments on animals, no more zoos or circuses, animals could not be taken from of their natural habitat. There would be more laws to protect animals.
7. Would you prefer jelly beans, Cadbury cream eggs or Reese’s eggs?
I’m going with the salty-sweet deliciousness of Reese’s eggs. Yum.
8. If you could have any power, what would it be and why?
The power to have whatever power I needed at the moment. haha! I know, that’s a cheater’s answer. Okay, I think I would want to tele-transport. That way I could see my family and friends whenever I wanted. Yeah, that’s definitely the one I want.
9. Describe yourself in 3 adjectives.
Warm, Positive, Kind
10. Do you prefer Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games or Lord of the Rings? Why?
Hunger Games – because I like a good deadly competition. Oh, sorry, did I leave SUPER COMPETITIVE off my adjectives?
11. What is your favorite musical and why?
“The Poseidon Adventure.” Oh wait, you said musical? I like “Singin’ In the Rain.” It’s a great one and I know my daughter loves it so it reminds me of her. I also love all the Disney musicals from the 80’s and early 90’s.

Thanks No Blog Intended! Always nice to be thought of : )
Hi,
Congrats on your awards, well done. 😀
Thanks Mags! From two very nice bloggers who feel sorry for me, no doubt. haha!
Lovely post and all the awards 🙂
The two blog names are not links 😦
Thanks again, Harry! I just threw the lot of them up there ’cause I thought it looked more impressive with a grouping. haha!
I’m not very smart when it comes to links of any kind. Hopefully if someone from my blogroll feels inclined to participate they’ll know what to do?
By the way, I liked the answers to your questions especially, “The ruler of the earth so that I could put all things right.” Wouldn’t that be nice? haha!
I wish my answer could come try i would make big changes.
People on your blogroll can’t get in unless you invite them from your dashboard.
Congrats to you 🙂
I’ll answer 2 questions:
-What one food do you refuse to try? Any type of animal testicles.. ugh-nope!
-What’s your favorite Disney movie? Why? Lilo & Stitch.. The characters a just so darn cute!!!
Eww… I was thinking more along the lines of beets or liver, but I guess animal testicles is a 10, maybe 11 on the repulsivity scale. haha!
I love “Lilo and Stitch” – such a different one for Disney, at the time.
Thanks for trying out some of the questions.
I am going to answer these here because that’s how I roll.
What’s your favorite vacation spot? The Poconos is the one place I used to always go as a kid. I don’t know how much fun I’d have there now. I spent most of the time knocking on the bathroom door while my dad tried to poop.
What’s your favorite dessert? Donuts even though I never eat them. I have dreams about eating donuts a lot. Who even eats donuts anymore? Such a asking for a big gut food.
What one food do you refuse to try? Like Free Penny Press said, testicles. Or maybe other boy parts. Girl parts too. I don’t need to eat a dead thing that lived outside’s genitals.
Which natural disaster would scare you the most? (Fire, Earthquake, Blizzard, Flood, Tornado, Tsunami, Hurricane, Drought, Plague, Volcano, etc.) Probably a volcano. At least a flood, hurricane, tsunami has water. I’m a pretty good floater and convinced I’d survive.
What is your favorite nursery rhyme or children’s story? This is tough. I fell down the stairs at a place caleld “The Land of Make Believe” when I was around 3 while inside the Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe’s home. So not that one.
What’s your favorite charity? Anything without an agenda. I like local charities. They always accomplish something and never spend half the money on getting some crap band like Bowling For Soup to show up and play their one hit.
Which sport do you enjoy participating in the most? Probably basketball because I can do it alone. I played baseball but it always made me nervous because if I screwed up there was no one else to blame. I was also a very good flag football player which couldn’t have influenced my life less.
Which TV show do you look the most forward to each day/week? I’ll go with all-time since I don’t have cable. I was really into Prison Break. I remember leaving a double date early because of the Season 2 premiere. Also of course WWE even though I haven’t watched it in like 2 1/2 years yet bring it up all the time.
What is the one thing, that if people knew about you, would surprise them? People who think I’m really mean: I’m actually pretty nice. People who think I’m realyl nice: I’m actually pretty mean.
What mistake do you wish you could un-do? There’s nothing huge I’ve done that I regret. Maybe just be more fearless early on in life and try harder at a younger age. But then maybe I would be cockier than I already am. Hmmm I’ll leave things as is.
What’s your favorite Disney movie? Why? Last night I felt like watching Little Mermaid and today I felt like Beauty and the Beast. Little Mermaid was my first movie I ever saw so I have to go with that even though Ursula scares me. Any of the late 80s/early 90s ones are legends in my mind.
Your answers are awesome, per usual. A volcano would scare me as well. I have lots of ways, in my mind, to survive water disasters, etc. but lava? Not so much. haha! I can’t imagine having such a slow and painful death.
Your secrets out, Lily and I know Timisgoo. Stop trying to pretend your mean.
I have to pretend I’m mean! I own a skull cap with an actual skull on it! It’s an insult to every biker everywhere if I behave…goo’ly?
A skull cap, with a skull? I guess you are really mean, then. I was wrong. Ha!
Wasn’t The little Mermaid the first movie you ever took me to, mom? That’s kind of funny because I just read that was mooselicker’s first movie too!
That’s kind about Singin’ in the Rain! Awww my mommi. I’m gonna spell mommi like that from now on. Aren’t you glad you raised a freak child?
Congrats on all of your awards!!
Yeah, I was just reading Tim’s answers and saw Little Mermaid was his first movie. That was your first movie, too. So cute. And you were afraid of Ursula, too! (The water *wee – short for witch, for those of you who care.)
I’m ONLY proud of my little freak children.
@ Lily did you get a comment i left you yesterday.
Are you asking Lily?
Hey, no I didn’t! I checked my spam just now and didn’t see anything
Ha ha! Well, hottie beautiful those are some really good answers and questions! I’ll have to take a crack at it this weekend, if all goes according to my plan in that 37 wats on me hand and foot and does all my chores leaving me nothing left to do but answer some questions such as the ones you have posed! And warm, positive and kind comes through loud and clear on every post and comment, Lisa! 🙂
Aww… thanks Linda!
By the way, you may be the only person who gets my sense of humor! Sometimes I think I need to type “only kidding” after everything! haha!
Miss Lily, sorry it was not me, it was my other self, my mistake.
My other self will be back again 🙂
So i must disappear and re-appear as my other self again.
I’m gone in a cloud of smoke * poof *
Great answers to my silly questions! I am going to see the Hunger Games tomorrow night. You got four awards – you rock and I love your blog! You are a Great Apple! 🙂
Thanks Jeanday! It was fun. I ‘m seeing the midnight show of the Hunger games tonight, can you believe it? It sounded good at the time and now I’m regretting it. Haha! I’m so tired.
Thanks for all the comps and being a great supporter. I love your blog, as well.
Cheers!
