Another award!
T H A N K Y O U C H A T T Y C A T H I E!!!
This is my first time being nominated for the Liebster Blog Award. I’m so honored to have been nominated by Chatty Cathie, someone whose blog I read daily because it’s so darn funny. Not only is she a gifted writer but her subjects are ones that I can ALWAYS relate to, mom to mom. She’s a little Erma Bombeck, a little “I Love Lucy” and a lot of “Family Circus.” Good Times!
“The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning, favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note.”
It goes without saying, that everyone on my blog roll is worthy of this award. I welcome all of you to accept it if it pleases you. I think many of you already have this one so I tried to find some fresh candidates.
Without further ado, I would like to nominate the following blogs… **(I’m working on the links – they’re temporarily out of order. Why? — Because I’m so ridiculously bad at anything having to do with computers.)
Lily in Canada – She’s funny, irreverent, and beautiful inside and out. Don’t take her too seriously though, she’s just kidding! Oh yeah, and she’s my daughter.
The Waiting – I’ve just recently discovered this new mom, or maybe she discovered me? She’s super smart, funny and insightful. She’s just recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl. She’s documenting all the wondrous feelings and experiences that come with motherhood. An exciting time in life, to be sure.
The Music Court – Matthew Coleman is a cool cat who knows his music. Seriously. He’s extremely passionate and knowledgeable on the subject and he’s not afraid to share his opinions. I enjoy anyone who loves music as much as he does.
Evolution of Insanity – Pete Howorth is an incredibly funny guy from the U.K. He’s currently struggling to keep his sanity at a job where he seems to be the glue that keeps everything together. Pete’s not only funny, he’s very smart, a great writer and, though he sometimes talks tough, don’t let him fool you – he’s a wonderfully warm and kind hearted guy. (…oops, I think he just threw up a little.)
Is It Possible To See It All – John Phillips is Canadian. Do I need to say more? Seriously, he’s another blogger who appreciates music and has introduced me to some great Canadian bands. Lately, he’s been traveling through parts of the west, most recently, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and documenting the important sights like the Wolf Lodge Inn. I should also mention that John is very compulsive about sticking to his writing schedule, I’d even call him a stickler. You won’t catch him dozing off at the wheel!
By the way, this award has no pressure attached. Accept it only if it pleases you. I’ve so enjoyed all of your blogs for very different reasons. Thanks for all of the great reading!
Hi,
Congrats on your award. 😀
Thanks, Mags. The truth is that everyone on my blog roll is more than worthy of this award. It goes without saying that I nominate all of you as well. I just figured that all of you already have this and other awards. It’s hard to keep track, isn’t it? Anyway, thanks!
Nice one Lily!
Mr Howorth gets about a bit…
Haha! good ol’ Pete.
Cool! Thank you so much! I never knew that Lily was your daughter…great blogging must be genetic 🙂
You’re so welcome! I really enjoy reading your blog. Hard to resist with a gorgeous baby to look at! Haha!
Please say more? lol. Thanks for the nomination, hadn’t got one of those yet. I am still dissapointed that the Wolf Lodge was closed. From the outside, the inside would have been awesome.
Yeah, it looked like a gem. I love stuff like that.
I’m still trying to fix my link thing, but when I do, should I use “John Phillips” or “Is it possible to see it all?” I’m actually waiting for Lily to wake up and do it for me. tee hee.
Either either. On a link maybe the blog name but all in all the link still takes people to the blog. Have a good one.
You are so awesome and TOTALLY deserving! And gosh – THANK YOU! To be compared to Erma Bombeck and “I Love Lucy” in the same sentence is AWESOME!
Can you check the links for my blog and The Music Court, please? They bounce. 😦
Can’t wait to check out all of your nominations! And how cool that you have a daughter-blogger!
Cathie, I’m waiting for Lily to wake up in British Columbia – so she can fix my links. I’m completely idiotic when it comes to this stuff. haha! Yes, Lily in Canada is my daughter. She’s very funny but you have to “get” her sense of humor. Very sarcastic! Not for the faint of heart. : )
I think of Lucy and Erma Bombeck with a little Oklahoma thrown in the mix when I think of you! Thank you for nominating me!
Hahahaha! Just “a little” Oklahoma? LOL! My friend, I bleed Crimson and Cream (OU colors)!
Okay, I was trying to be delicate! haha!
Congratulations!:D
Thank you!!!
I love your blog! would you like to be a part of The Uninspired Chronicles? 🙂 x
Thank you again, and please explain further what The Uninspired Chronicles are? Sounds like the title to the story of my life! haha! Sure, I’ll be a part.
Hey! Here is the post with all the details http://riatarded.wordpress.com/2012/03/29/the-uninspired-chronicles/
It’s basically to help people get over their creative funk! I want to know what inspires you. If you have done anything quirky to get over your creative funk then do talk about it!
It could be a video, infographic, pictorial, write up, song e.t.c
Anything really! Be as creative as you like!
I hope I have explained it well 😛
Am I following your blog? wordpress seems to be screwing up a lot lately -.-
You should know, I’m technically challenged with everything having to do with the computer. Seriously. I’m so bad that only just figured out how to do a link! ha!
Yes! I love that topic. It’s near and dear to my heart. Such a mystery this thing we call creativity… Count me in.
awesome! Yes I am following you! You are supposed to get a notification for it 😀 Just link your post to the original post ok? 🙂 and it would be awesome if you could follow the blog to keep up with the project 😀 xoxo
Sounds good. I’ll happily do it.
awesome! Thank you! xoxo
Congratulations on the Liebster! 🙂
Thanks so much!
An excellent acceptance of a well deserved award!
Off to check tout the ones you list that I don’t know…
Thank you, Guapo. I tried to come up with some new peeps for this award. They’re all very different.
Congratulations on your award Lisa! I will check out the blogs you recommended! I know Lily’s but I’ve never visited the others. Have a great weekend! 🙂
Thanks, Linda! They’re all very different. It’s their passion for their topic that makes them similar. Have a good weekend and give Peanuts a rest! : )
I’m thinking I may go to one of those movies you recommended, if I can find one in my neighborhood. You have a great weekend too! 🙂
Congratulations on your Liebster!
Thanks so much! Congrats to you again, on your big 10K!
Btw, I just got back from seeing, “The Lucky One,” a Nicholas Sparks romance. It was good but slightly cheesy. And yes, I had my weekend popcorn. : )
Great award Lisa well deserved
Thanks, Harry! When do you find out who won the writing contest? I’ve been putting in votes for you and Pete. Fingers crossed…
Congratulations 🙂
Thank you very much!
Awh 😀 That’s probably the best plug I’ve ever received! Thank you 🙂
Well deserved! Your welcome. : )
