Look what I found in my Easter basket this morning! I have been awarded the Oil In The Alabaster Box winner!! How could I not reblog this exciting news? For those of you unfamiliar with Lanier, he is an exceptionally gifted writer. I dare you to read his stories and not get swept away in the world he conjures. He has introduced me to a world of fragrance I didn’t even know existed, and to think I always fancied myself one who knows perfumes! Ha! My grasp of such things is infantile compared to his. He keeps good company, too. Vickie Lester and The Perfumed Dandy among my favorite bloggers. Anyway, without further ado…
Oh this day, this Easter Sunday I am happy to announce the winner on my Blog (as others are being announced on other blogs around the world) of the Oil in the Alabaster Box giveaway post.
“THIS IS MORE EXCITING THAN GETTING DIAMONDS FROM CARTIER!”
The envelope please…………
“I AM GOING TO KISS THE WINNER BACKSTAGE!”
Oh this is nice! The winner is A Gripping Life.
Congratulations my dear. Just email your mailing information to me at MGMtagame@yhaoo.com and I will forward the information to Brie who will send you your very special bottle of Spikenard Foot Oil. Brie has also made a more complex blend called Alabaster Wrist designed as an anti-anxiety oil. A sample will of this will be included in with your prize.
“WELL I CAN’T WIN THEM ALL YOU KNOW…”
Thanks to you all who participated in this exciting and special world…

Congrats, Lisa. How deserving my friend. What will you wear on the red carpet? Happy Easter.
Thanks, Brig! It was an incredible thrill for me. I might wear something like this…
If this doesn’t come up than just go to my pinterest and enter the Weddings and parties Board. I could wear any one of those. 😉
Hope you’re having a beautiful Easter!
Lisa
xoxo
Congrats! You totally deserve it all.I hope you opened a bottle of champagne 😉 ?
Thanks Astrid. This is a wonderful surprise. Yes, I’ll open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Good idea! 😉
Have a long and lovely Easter weekend. Would you send me an email please? I have a question about A Gripping Life, Thank you, The Fragrant Man.
Thank you, Jordan River! My email is lisagorelabute@aol.com.
I wish you a lovely Easter weekend, as well.
I just read this ancient and profoundly lovely Spikenard plant is from the Valerian family – it should be very soothing indeed! Valerian root itself is a lulling concoction if swallowed with your nostrils pinched tightly closed – to have the same effect and be beautifully scented – that’s just perfection! xox, V
If there’s anything I need right now it’s lulling. 😉
It sounds magical. I can’t wait to try it.
This has been a very happy day thanks to Lanier. Wasn’t that so kind?
Hugs!
xoxo

This is great Easter Sunday news! I’m curious about that anti anxiety oil…
Enjoy Lisa!
Thanks, Sandee. It sounds wonderful.
Congratulations! Oil’s well that ends so well! 🙂
haha! Thank you!
Yeah!! Now you have a good excuse to buy that expensive evening frock!.. Such a well deserving blog and you are an awesome blogging pal!!
Thanks, Lynne! It was such a fun surprise. I think it’s all in the presentation, I mean, who doesn’t want to be the winner at a star studded event, right? 🙂
As far as blogging friends go… The feeling is so very mutual. I know, you know. xoxo
Congrats mom! That’s super exciting! I commented on the post and I’m sure no one there knows who I am so they’re probably like ummmm go away? heh
Anyway, all I said was that if anyone deserves a great gift, it’s you Momma! I’m excited for you! What if you won the baby picture competition too? lol…
Thanks, Lil! It’s never a party or celebration without my gal. 🙂
Lily, you are always welcome to pop over to Scents Memory. I say, don’t go away, stay!
Your Mom isa great Lady and someone special… You are lucky to have her as a Mom.
L
Thank you! It’s pretty comfortable over here so I think I just might stay! 😉
And yes, glad we both agree about my mom. I’m definitely a lucky gal!
Hey Lily! Yes you are a lucky gal!
AGL, I congratulate you on your gift although I must admit that the only scent that I am familiar with is called ‘single malt scotch.’
Hmm… a very delicate and fragrant bouquet, if I recall. Maybe you should put a little on the nape of your neck to see if you attract anyone.
If I put some on the nape of my neck, I might only attract a scotch-loving vampire.
What’s wrong with that? They say there’s a lid for every pot, right?
