Wednesday
I don’t know why but I felt as though everyone needed to see this. I think Wednesday may be my inner child. I’m not sure? Either that, or she’s my spirit animal…? Hey, I just realized, it is Wednesday! This post is really coming together. Unfortunately, that’s all I have. I hope you enjoy this little offering and that it helps get you over the hump. Lisa xoxo
By the way, I know what you’re thinking. “Now that Lisa has mastered the art of using gifs, she’s gonna put them in every post.” Let’s see, shall we? 😉
Is that bloke the one they call Frankenstein?
No. I don’t think he played Frankenstein. In this show, The Addams Family, he was Lurch, the butler. He had very few lines.
There was another show called, The Munsters, and the father, Herman Munster, looked exactly like Frankenstein. Both shows were on in the late 60’s, early 70’s if I recall.
Oooh, I thought he looked like a Frankie… o.O
I’ve never seen TAF of the 70’s, I’ve only seen the new one. I think the oldies would be cooler though. Definitely worth a check. 😉
That’s Lurch! And I was thinking exactly what you thought I was thinking. Teach me how to use them?? xo
It’s so easy that it’s ridiculous. Go over to Lily’s tumbler and drag one of these right onto your desk top. That’s it. When you do your post just put it in the add media and wah-la! You’ll be good to go. It’s probably a good idea to go to Lily’s Tumbler anyway – she has lots of cool pictures that you can steal. I think she has a link on the bottom of her blog. There may also be an official gif place on the internet that I don’t know about yet.
This adds another chapter to the life of Michael Jackson. He started off as a white girl, turned into a black boy, became a black man, then finished off as a white woman. He could always dance though. There’s no arguing that.
How dare you make fun of the love of my life!!!
You’ll notice I didn’t touch that one.
Wednesday really has the moves, right?
Wednesday needs to lay off of the sugar.
haha! Agree! I don’t remember this episode. I think it would have stayed with me.
So Lisa, does this mean you are now giffy instead of grippy? HA! Lurch is my fave.
haha! Shhh… don’t tell anyone. I’m sure I’ll tire of it and move on to something else that will help me avoid actually writing a serious post.
Lurch is my fave, as well. “You rang?”
This may be where James Brown got his moves from.
Right? She seems like she was ahead of the crowd. Who knew Wednesday had it in her?
Oh my favorite show (s)….the Addams Family and the Munsters. I wanted to be Wednesday….no wait Mortisha! I need to check out this new tech stuff….how do I find your daughter’s tumbler?
Go to my last post. She is “Lily in Canada.” Once you’re over at her blog scroll down to the bottom where she has all her badges(whatever they call them) there’s one with a T – that’s the one for her Tumbler. Hit that and it will take you directly there.
I know, I loved both of those shows.
I’m going with spirit animal. Well, you raised my spirits this morning, thank you – and now this – one million fragrant rose pink rosebuds for Ms. Lisa!
Thank you, Vickie! What a lovely gift!
There’s something fun about posting these silly things. I’m glad it made you smile. And yes, I’ll go with spirit animal. Good call.
Love that little shuffle…
Me too. It really is how I feel sometimes – ya know? You can probably tell when I’m shuffling on the inside, right?
Totes!
It makes it seem like there’s a party over here with Wednesday dancing. Am I right? Did you notice, it’s not moving on the front page of my blog. Oh well.
You should have let the gif run another 5 seconds. I bet Lurch would have joined in.
Maybe Thing too!
I totally forgot about Thing!! Good one. Hey, I said I mastered the art of the gif but I didn’t say I’m a wizard. Let’s not get hysterical, Guapo. You know I’m limited in my skills.
Love it! Wednesday was such a cutie and I remember thinking I loved her name. Like Tuesday Weld but not. You and your giffs. 🙂
…anything to avoid actually writing. I’m sure I’ll be back tomorrow with something to depress everyone.
I always thought Wednesday was a cool name, too. But isn’t Wednesday’s child full of woe? That me be the one drawback on that name. haha!
moving and groovin’ — Wednesday cheered me up and helped me over the ump
Oh, good!! That was truly my intention. She’s hard to look at without smiling. Her dance is almost hypnotic. lol!
OK well now my day is made. That GIF is epic. Wednesday for the win!
Haha! YAY!!
She’s got some snazzy footwork and I like how Lurch is looking..lol.. Go you Gif-Girl, Go!!
I don’t know why but this made me laugh. It’s her snazzy little shuffle that kills me. Some days I think I’m doing this dance on the inside. (Probably when I’m about to eat something delicious) ha!
haha.. I love her fancy shuffle..
Ah, that makes me want to dance, Lisa!! Thanks.
Me too! She’s really got the moves! I can’t look at it without smiling. Glad you liked it, Amy!
hahahahaha! Your spirit animal. love it.
Hahaha! That’s the little shuffle I do on the inside when good things happen for you. 😉
You’re my idol for being able to make GIFs, I love them, but I’ve no idea how to make them!
You’re my idol for thinking I can actually “make” a gif. It’s more like I steal them from my daughter’s tumbler. Lol! Read my instructions to Maggie above. My daughter is Lily in Canada.
Ah yeah she makes good GIFs, I follow her blog too – a talented family!
Thanks!!
I love it! And I loved the Addams Family and The Munsters. I had a peculiar crush on Eddie…
Haha! Eddie had a killer widow’s peak. I can see a crush, he was a far cry from Opey or Beaver. Doesn’t it seem like a far away time and place that we watched these shows?
I could have watched that shuffle all day long!
haha! Me too!! It puts me in a good mood. Well, at least it puts a smile on my face.
And you want me to comment on this? Blah! No way, Ms Jose. Write, write, write: these gifts or gits or grits or whatever the hell they are can be viewed anywhere, anytime. Show me the real Lisa or show me a blank page! HF
Obviously, I had nothing to write about yesterday so I put that up thinking it would make people smile. …just taking a little break. Don’t be so grumpy.
I am never grumpy; nor wrong. However, if you promise writing gold all next week,I will forgive you. 😦
Deal. I’ll write my heart out all next week and then change my name to Louisa May Woolf. How does that sound?
(I knew you could make a frowny face – thatta boy.)
Haha! You’re right! We all DID need to see tthis! She’s your Wednesday Inner-Child Party Animal!! HA! And yes, we shall see about the gifs! I would love to see more, personally!! It’s all new and amazing to me and I have no clue how a person would go about doing something like putting up a gif. I didn’t even know they were called gifs until today! Lisa you’re getting so savy!
haha! If you knew how easy they were to put in a post you’d take back the savvy compliment. Seriously, easy peasy. You’re actually the person with all the skills – all those drawings that you post… I would never know how to do that.
I still think her finest hour was the ‘Be afraid …’ 🙂
I don’t remember, ‘Be Afraid’ – I’ll have to look that one up.
Dear Gripping
How clever of you to know that Wednesday was The Dandy’s inner child too… in fact isn’t she just universal?
Yours ever
The Perfumed Dandy
Of course Wednesday is your inner child! How perfect. I think she’s both universal and versatile. I’m glad you enjoyed her little dance. 😉
Oh Obi Wan, how do you do that?? I am tickled.
First of all, I love your new photo. Yay! It’s happy.
You know if it was tricky, I couldn’t pull it off. It’s easy. Are you able to drag things onto your desk top? I find these “gifs” on my daughters tumbler. I’m sure there’s a place that has them but I don’t know what it is. So, go to “Lily in Canada” – at the bottom of her blog she has the letter T for tumbler. Hit that and then look through her archives. She has a ton of these gifs. When you find one, hit it(to make it bigger) and then drag it onto your desk top.
When you want to put it in a post just drag it into your “add media” like you would any photo, and insert it like a photo. The trickiest part is finding these gifs. There must be a place on the Internet that has them. But dragging them onto your desk top couldn’t be easier.
Let me know if that works for you.
The force is very strong with you, my friend. 😉
Hahaha!!!!!
I still haven’t mastered this art of GIFs yet. Probs a good job as that’s what 90% of my posts would be.
I know, right? They are so tempting to use. If you knew how easy it was you’d do it in a heart beat. Find one and just drag it into your desktop. Then insert it like you would a picture. It’s simple. I know it is because I’m like the village idiot when it comes to this stuff.
