Be Kind to Animals…
Today’s post is dedicated to animals. I feel strongly that they are gifts from a kind and loving God. All creatures great and small are divine in their very nature. They’re treasures and we’re blessed to have them in our lives.
Here are some pictures I’ve gathered that speak to the loving nature of animals.
Grippy,
Yes, yes and yes.
Eric
I know, right? They’re so kind and gentle.
Shame on those who say animals aren’t warm and intelligent.
It’s make or break for me. I could never have a real relationship with anyone who is repelled by or indifferent to animals. It’s like, where’s your heart?
I like the one with the lady and her cat. They always seem to know what’s going on.
They do, don’t they? I think they’re way smarter and much more intuitive than we give them credit for.
That’s why I always think of them as angels : )
The pictures of babies and dogs reminded me that our dog, before our son’s birth, would sleep in the bed with us. After he was born, she took to sleeping on the floor in the hall between our room and the nursery. No one ever told her to do that; it was so sweet. Still miss her.
aww… that’s too kind. Someone once told me that dogs like to have a job. I’m sure when you brought the baby home she instinctively knew her job was to protect. They’re just so intuitive. I can’t imagine life without experiencing that kind of love.
Your opinion on this subject:
Say a person adopts a cat from a coworker. The person already has 3 cats. They get the new cat and the cat does not get along with the other cats for a few months. The cat isn’t mean or anything, just really shy and keeps to itself. Now that same person is trying to get rid of the cat. Nobody will take it because that’s a big responsibility to take on, despite what this person thought by thinking she could handle so many pets. The person cannot return the cat to a shelter because she will be blacklisted from being able to adopt another animal ever again. Seeing no other option, this person has decided to let the cat run loose in an area that’s a bit suburban with a little bit of forestry to it. This person is already talking about adopting a bird. Can this person consider themselves an animal lover?
P.S. More monkeys should hug dogs.
I think she fancies her self an animal person but she’s not. A real animal lover could NEVER EVER let a cat loose to fend for itself in a suburban area. How totally heartless. Some people use animals as props in their life or treat them with a one way street mentality. They’re not pokemon, you don’t collect them! I knew a woman who bought a Saint Bernard because she thought it would bring her a lot of attention. The problem was, she lived in a top floor of a three story walk up apartment. What the heck was she thinking? Obviously she didn’t think about the dog’s needs, only her own. Those people make me so mad.
Yes, more primates should adopt dogs! That Orangutan is probably a way more loving care taker than the women we discussed.
Aw, that last one…
I know, right? So sweet. The expression on the dog’s face is so chill. Priceless.
So awesome!
I love these photos, too. I love animals so much that I’ve decided to do at least one post a week dedicated to them. I’m glad you came by!
Good for you! You’re doing a lot for the animals for doing this π

These images are so moving!
Thanks so much!!! The more exposure people have to animals, the better.
You’re welcome! It’s this kind of thing that really helps them π
Beautiful post!
Thanks, Susan. I’m always so comforted to know that others feel the same way.
Same Here!
When I’m ill, DC cuddles with me, so, seeing the older woman with her cat made me cry. How kind of the workers to allow her to spend that time with her animal, to have that comfort to ease her journey into that next phase of her life.
I felt the same way. I’m sure her cat senses what’s happening and is aware of the love and calm that it’s providing. So sweet and gentle. I can’t think of a better spirit guide, can you?
No, I can’t. Just that unconditional love paving the way to a better place. Peaceful way to go, isn’t it?
I love the last one.
That dog’s expression is pretty priceless. Lots of love there.
Lisa, I agree with everything you’ve said about animals. One of my cuties (Baxter, the boy dog and my other one is Sophie, our new little girl) and I used to visit a senior citizen’s home when we lived near Charleston, SC and the active (and not-so-active) people there would LOVE to pet and love on him. He stayed so patient and sweet. Loved this post.
I know it’s a disney movie, but I watched Hotel for Pets (I think that was the name of it) with my niece. It was so sweet and filled with all these precious pups. Anyway, I’m rambling, but loved this.
Thanks Brigitte! I’m glad you liked it. I feel like any animal exposure is good and worthwhile. Maybe one day you can do a post on Baxter and Sophie. I’d love to see a picture of them. Aww… little Baxter. It’s a win win when you can share that love with people and then the animals get it back in return. : ) That’s such a good deed. Very sweet and worthwhile.
Just one more reason why I love your blog so much. This just shows how big your heart is.
βIf having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.β -James Herriot
That’s such a great quote. It’s so true. Animals are so much more advanced when it comes to unconditional love. They’ll never let you down. I’d like to think that we give as much as we get from our pets but I don’t think that would be accurate. They give way more in the form of pure love. Such treasures.
Hey big hearted gal, it takes one to know one! Thanks for that : )
You betcha. Anyone who loves animals is a good duck in my book! π If you haven’t yet, check out my post about the zoo I keep in my house! LOL
This is a wonderful post!
Aww… from one animal lover to another, thanks.
Jake the Wonder Dog, Callie the Sleek Dog, OC the World’s Smallest Cat, Zip the Pet Me Now or Die Cat, & Annie turned Andy Cause My Parents are Idiots at Recognizing Sex Parts all say thank you for the lovely pictures that reveal their true nature.
Be encouraged!
Aww… bless their little hearts! Love the names!!!
Have a great weekend!
You as well.
Be encouraged!
This is the truest. Animals are the best. End of story.
They are the most kind.
What a beautiful post … and I agree with you 100% … if someone doesn’t love animals, run, don’t walk away from them. Be well and stay blessed.
Isn’t that the truth. It’s a make or break deal for me, too.
Thanks, Gina, for your sweet comment.
Blessings to you!
How beautiful.
Thank you. I thought it would be nice to do a regular animal feature. The photos alone speak volumes, don’t they?
Thanks for the kindness.
I was very moved by the one of the cat with the dying woman. My husband is in a nursing home now and I want to take one of our dogs in to visit but the staff aren’t very keen on the idea.
I’m sorry to hear that. It would be incredibly helpful if they would let animals occasionally visit. They have such a soothing effect, not to mention the joy they bring. It would help lift the spirits of the residents.
I hope they change their minds.
Blessings to you!
So glad I read this after work because these pictures are so wonderful I got all teary eyed. Especially the Woman and her cat.. so lovely in the way animals are meant to be.. lovers and healers ..Thank you for this post !!
The pictures speak volumes, don’t they? That one in particular is very moving. Their presence is almost medicinal. I agree, lovers and healers.
Those pictures of babies and animals! I mean, COME ON. Love it. π
I know, right? Too precious. They’re like guardian angels.
Love these pictures. It touched me that the woman was allowed to have her cat with her in the days before she died. It must have given her a lot of comfort in her pain.
Thanks. I thought they were very moving, as well. I’m sure the hospitalized woman was much more peaceful and comfortable knowing she had her little companion by her side. Wasn’t that so thoughtful?
I think so – and surprising too and I did not imagine they would allow animals into the hospital.
Precious beings
They really are.
Aww! Animals do touch our hearts make us remember who we are and where we come from. thanks the blue moon is rising as I read this so I must Howl!!! π
I agree. Animals are so spiritual.
Love the pics. I have 3 dogs. Animals have a way of making you happy. i love taking my little one to a senior living facility. Everyones faces light up when they see her!
They do make you happy. Once they pass on you feel so sad without them
I think it’s such a great service to bring your dog to the senior living facility. I bet they love it when they see her coming.
I must say Lisa this post made me tear up. All these wonderful pictures certainly are worth 1000 words! All these animals are so angelic. And I can’t decide who is happier the kitty or the old woman! Oh what a wonderful picture. I can feel her joy and love coming right through my computer screen. I’m going to keep this post where I can look at it often! π
I’m glad you liked it, Linda. I know, these pictures are very moving. You can feel their goodness jump off the screen. Isn’t that picture with the hospitalized woman something? I’m sure the love between them is so strong. I can’t think of a better companion to have by your side as you leave this life. They are angels. I have no doubt that part of their purpose is to comfort, to help heal and to keep us connected to that spiritual part of ourselves.
Have a beautiful weekend, my friend.
Lisa
I will Lisa and you have a great weekend too! β€
What a wonderful post… animals being almost as dear to me as my wife, and without them, man is nothing, without his God given companion he is lost and will never know true dedication and unconditional love…
I couldn’t agree with you more. They’re such noble creatures. The idea that anyone could feel differently is really foreign to me and yet, you know those people are out there. I really think animal lovers have a heightened sense of spirituality, they see animals as part of God’s plan and so they have a reverence for these creatures. Some people must be missing that chip? I’m comforted that there are people like you walking around, kind sensitive souls that ‘get it.’
Have a great weekend!
Beautiful photos that capture the love between man, woman, child and their best friend. Just inspirational.
I’m glad you were moved by these photos as much as me. They’re truly such noble creatures.
Animals are definitely better than human beings.
And they make you addicted to them straight away. How do they manage to do that? I want to have that ability as well. Maybe I should grow fur or something.
Hahaha! Please don’t grow fur on your face! Thank you very much!
I think animals are light years ahead of us as far as unconditional love and loyalty go. If I had to choose to live with only people or only animals… guess which group would win? haha!
π
For sure!
Your pet doesn’t care whether you are rich or poor, fat or thin, attractive or unattractive. It doesn’t care whether you run a Fortune 500 company or fill its lowest ranks; whether you were top of your class at Harvard or barely got through grade school.
What your pet wants is your unconditional love. It’s the only judgment it makes.
That’s the truth. There’s so much we can learn from them.
If, at the end of my life, I can claim to be as good or as loving as any of my pets, than I’ll have achieved much.

So beautiful… they are all great.
So beautiful and they all talk… Thank you, I have just met with you on my amazing friend, dear Suzane’s (Zannyro’s) blog. Thank you for her too. With my love, nia
Thank you so much for your love and support. It makes me so happy to have so many warm-hearted and wonderful people come visit. I should have known that a post with these beautiful animals would draw a crowd. I’m going to try and post about animals once a week in hopes that it will benefit our little furry friends. : )
Thanks for re-blogging this.
Blessings to you, Nia!
I needed a smile today and you have given it to me…thank you.
I’m glad you liked it! Yeah, it puts a smile on my face, too. Thanks for commenting!!
All wonderful photos. Thanks for the beautiful post.
Thanks, Ruth! It feels uplifting, doesn’t it? It’s nice to know we share the planet with such noble creatures.
Thanks for leaving your kind comment.
Lisa, if you are not already inundated with Awards, I nominated you for The Beautiful Blogger Award. Love your work. Pass it along if time allows.

Aww… that’s very kind of you, Gary. I appreciate that. I will pass it along, for sure. I’m glad you enjoyed this post. Those photos are so moving and really do speak to the loving nature of animals.
Have a beautiful day : )
Blessings to you!
Lisa
Beautiful photos. I like the last one the best, the little girl looks so happy to have her friend with her.
Thank, Jennifer. The photos capturing all that love… priceless. It really warms my heart to know there are so many of us out there who treasure these sweet animals. It’s hard not to comment when you’re moved by all that goodness.
Thanks for coming by!
Lisa
Haha that chimp with his arm around the dog is the best thing I’ve seen all week, although bearing in mind it’s only Monday and all I’ve seen today is cars.
I know, isn’t that great? There’s a back story about how the Orangutan was orphaned and the dog was depressed and they put them together and now they’re inseparable. The dog even taught his friend to swim! haha! So cute. : )
Sweet Face would have liked to been in your list. She is feeling rejected. I’ll try to comfort her, but she thought you and her were friends. HF
Awww… Little Sweet Face will always be my friend.
Please give her this message: Hey SF, when the old man starts getting stingy with the chewy snacks you just head on over here, I’ll spoil you rotten and I’m not even constipated.
First, I’m not old. I’m advanced middle age. Second, I am never stingy. What I eat, Sweet Face eats. She is not picky and neither am I. Third, I am not constipated. I was trying for humor. Anyone can get a big following by posting cute animals, but being funny is hard. Tomorrow I shall post nothing but pictures of kittens, puppies, babies and cupcakes. I will break the LIKE meter. HF
Hahaha! We’ll see about that.
Hello, thank you for stopping by my blog, I love your stories and pictures. I am so glad that I have been able to connect with you. Have a great evening
For some reason I’ve always been scared of animals but I am beginning to like them now! Such cute pictures! π
Hey Ria,
I think sometimes we either see or have a scary incident when we’re little or we pick up on the feelings of our parents who may not be fond of animals – that kind of stuff can set you up for a life of being afraid.
I bet if you hung around some dogs and cats and animal lovers you would soon come over to the other side. Animals have such a loving nature and are so sensitive/ intuitive to the people around them. They definitely give more than they get.
I’m glad you liked the photos – they tell a sweet story.
Have a great day!!
STOP with the cuteness of this post. And holy craps, that’s a lot of comments and likes! Attagirl!
Apparently all you need are some cutey pics of our four legged furry friends.
They’re irresistible. π
That monkey one was pretty scary! Thing could crush that dog so easily!
Hey Frank. I’m glad you mentioned that picture. Apparently the orangutan lost both of his parents and the dog was also depressed so this zoo put them together and they are inseparable! The dog even taught his friend, Roscoe, to swim! Isn’t it crazy to look at that photo? I think some primates would take better care of dogs and cats than people. It’s actually very sweet that they bonded and love each other so much.
Thanks for commenting!!!
Have a great day!
Lisa
The picture with monkey and the dog is hilarious!
I know, right? Apparently they’re best friends and inseparable. The dog even taught the monkey to swim!
haha π
I love these photos.
They’re precious, aren’t they? They really speak volumes about the true nature of animals.
Thanks for your comment!
I feel like I’ve seen this blog earlier on ezinearticles.com, but upon spending a while on here it’s obvious that this is a new web page.
Anyways, I’m definitely glad I have found it and I’ll be bookmarking it and checking back often.
Oh! That’s great. All animal lovers are welcome!
